My Top 3 Perfumes For Your Christmas Wishlist 2018

Updated: Dec 17, 2018

If perfume isn't at the top of your Christmas list then - who are you? How do you afford such luxuries all year round? Where do I send my CV!?

I'm a particular perfume user, my go to is Chanel No. 5 - I like to keep it classic, and my day perfumes are usually Nina by Nina Ricci or Daisy by Marc Jacobs - pretty standard as far as perfumes go. I've been on a hunt for a new scent, and here's 3 of my fave scents I've discovered heading into 2019.

Valentino Valentina Poudre Eau de Parfum - £67.50, John Lewis

I absoloutely love talc. It's just so comforting and makes your skin super soft. I think it's why I prefer a 'talcy' perfume and as far as that powdery scent goes, Poudre embodies it wholeheartedly. The product description trascends what this scent makes you feel, so have a read for your self:

"The art of dressing the skin in a natural way. For the first time, a fragrance gets into the universe of make-up and only keeps the essential of it to sublimate beauty without artefact. As a blush stroke awakening the complexion, Valentina Poudre magnifies and transcends Valentina's natural beauty. The skin is dressed with a perfumed baby-doll, a hazy veil, as a powdery négligé. Poudre is Valentina's tip to be effortlessly feminine and elegant."

Tiffany & Co Eau de Parfum - £43.35, John Lewis

Tiffany's is alabout understated elegance is it not? I'm still working on purchasing my Tiffany's necklace, however I've decided I want to do it in the New York Tiffany's and therefore it means I'll just have to go and book a trip there ... sigh, the hardship! So this is my No. 1 for Christmas, it's on the list, it's been requested ... if I don't get it, I will have to venture out for it myself ... it reminds me of No. 5 but it's a little more delicate and understated, perfect for every day chic.

Description reads:

"Tiffany has captured the luxury, glamour and romance of New York City with its new signature scent.

Tiffany & Co Eau de Parfum is a radiant and modern scent that opens with vibrant top notes of vert de mandarine. At its heart, the precious iris flower, this signature ingredient adds strength and femininity that grounds the composition with refinement and sophistication.

The fragrance dries down to a sensual finish on the skin with warm nuances of patchouli wrapped in gentle musky notes."

Dior Miss Dior Eau de Parfum - £45.90, John Lewis

I ran out of my Miss Dior the other month and decided I'd wait before I re purchased (expensive 30th holiday was priority). I've yet to get round to restocking! Miss Dior is sweet and fresh and she looks so fabulous on the shelf. She's a great transitional day to night perfume, wear her light or treat yourself to a few extra spritzes to truly indulge yourself - you deserve it.

Description reads:

"The refinement of a sensual rose woven with rosewood.

The new Miss Dior Eau de Parfum reveals the femininity of a sensual floral. Its heart is a floral declaration that combines the beauty of Grasse rose with the boldness of Damascus rose, both wrapped in a ribbon of fresh notes of Calabrian bergamot.

This handcrafted creation is woven with rosewood from French Guiana and pink pepper from Reunion Island for heightened character.

A Miss Dior that will leave you love-struck."

Which fragrance is your fave? I'm always on the hunt to try new ones so any recommendations are always welcome!
